Dear Clarice,

I hope that you are keeping well and that you don’t mind the intrusion. I
am getting in touch with a request for assistance to recruit two PhD
researchers in Statistics.

We are seeking two PhD researchers in Statistics as part of a new Marie
Curie Doctoral Network project called LegumeLegacy that I am leading. I’d
be very grateful if you could please bring this to the attention of any
relevant students there.

Please see text below that you may wish to forward directly to relevant
students.

Many thanks in advance for any help that you can give!

Best wishes,

Caroline

*Two PhD Researcher in Statistics positions available *

We have two well-paid PhD Researcher in Statistics positions available as
part of the new LegumeLegacy project. LegumeLegacy is a Marie
Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network titled ‘LegumeLegacy – Optimising
multiple benefits of grass, legume and herb mixtures in crop rotations:
modelling mechanisms and legacy effects’. The project is highly
interdisciplinary, and the two PhD researchers will play a crucial role in
bringing together the project results from all the other disciplines. Find
out more at: https://legumelegacy.scss.tcd.ie/

*The two PhD Researcher in Statistics will be based in Ireland for their
PhDs.* We are looking for two people with qualifications in statistics (or
closely related quantitative discipline) to participate in LegumeLegacy.
The primary work involved in these PhD projects will include developing
statistical models for analysing the multi-site LegumeLegacy common
experiment. Collaboration and translating statistical results to valuable
agricultural knowledge will be important aspects of these projects. Full
details for each position, including how to apply, are available here:

Position 1: https://legumelegacy.scss.tcd.ie/recruitment/LegumeLegacyTCD.pdf

Position 2:

The deadlines for applications are 7th April 2023.

*Highlights*

   - Highly paid PhD Researcher in Statistics positions.
   - Gross salary will be between €55,956 and €61,896 per annum for three
   years.

1, supervised by Prof. Caroline Brophy) or Teagasc, Wexford, Ireland
(position 2, supervised by Dr John Finn and co-supervised by Prof. Caroline
Brophy). For both positions, the PhD Researchers will be registered as a
PhD student at Trinity College Dublin.
   - Part of the European LegumeLegacy project, that includes 15 partnering
institutions and a cohort of 11 PhD Researchers; the project will
investigate innovative farm-scale solutions to promote sustainable farming
   practices. Project website: https://legumelegacy.scss.tcd.ie/

There are also multiple PhD Researchers positions available in LegacyNet
across the disciplines Agronomy, Biology, Soil science, Environmental
science, Forage nutrient dynamics and quality, Plant ecology, Molecular
plant breeding and Agricultural science. Full details of these positions
are available at: https://legumelegacy.scss.tcd.ie/recruitment.php. There
will be eleven PhD Researchers in total in LegumeLegacy and all will
collaborate closely throughout the project.

Training will be provided, and the PhD Researchers will participate in
