Ele tem doutorado (2016) e mestrado (2011) em Estatística pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) e bacharelado em Matemática Aplicada e Computacional (2008) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (Unesp). Uma de suas principais vantagens é a facilidade de interpretação, desde que as taxas de risco para dois indivíduos não variem ao longo do tempo. Na prática, a suposição de proporcionalidade dos riscos pode não ser verdadeira em algumas situações. Além disso, em diversos dados de sobrevivência é comum uma parcela das unidades não ser suscetível ao evento de interesse, mesmo que o tempo de acompanhamento seja suficientemente grande, comumente chamada de fração de cura. No contexto de riscos não proporcionais, apresentaremos três aplicações onde o modelo logístico generalizado dependente do tempo com um termo de fragilidade é utilizado, sendo duas na área médica, com e sem fração de cura, e uma na área industrial.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;
