characterized by a larger variance than assumed by the standard binomial model.
Here, we present different models proposed in the literature that incorporate
overdispersion. We also discuss how to select the best model to describe the data
and present, using R software, specific code used to fit and interpret
binomial, quasi-binomial, beta-binomial, and binomial-normal models, as well as
to assess goodness-of-fit. We illustrate applications of these generalized
linear models and generalized linear mixed models with a case study from a
biological control experiment, where different isolates of Isaria fumosorosea
(Hypocreales: Cordycipitaceae) were used to assess which ones presented higher
resistance to UV-B radiation. We show how to test for differences between
isolates and also how to statistically group isolates presenting a similar

neurodesenvolvimento, o TEA (transtorno do espectro autista) se manifesta como
dificuldade em interações sociais e comunicação e comportamentos repetitivos e
restritivos. A proporção de indivíduos diagnosticados com TEA, mundialmente, é
de 1:4 de homens para mulheres. Existem estudos que buscam identificar causas
para essa diferença em proporção. Esse estudo seguiu as diretrizes do padrão
ouro para revisões sistemáticas de literatura e meta-análises, PRISMA, para
buscar identificar fatores associados ao diagnóstico errôneo ou atrasado do
transtorno do espectro autista em mulheres e estimação da idade média de
diagnóstico quando mulheres não são diagnosticadas até os 15 anos de idade.
Foram consideradas 102 publicações na revisão sistemática onde os resultados
qualitativos apontam para o estigma, a estrutura dos métodos de diagnóstico, a
melhor capacidade de camuflagem e, possivelmente, uma diferença na
sintomatologia apresentada para explicar o diagnóstico tardio ou perdido.
Quantitativamente, foram encontradas maior frequência de estudos relatando
Ansiedade, Depressão, TDAH e problemas de sono estão entre as comorbidades mais
recorrentes. Para os modelos ajustados visando estimar a idade média dos
diagnósticos TEA em mulheres, os resultados mostraram que 95% das publicações
esperam encontrar a idade média entre 23 e 34 anos. O segundo modelo utilizou
uma amostra reduzida que considerou os estudos com uma pontuação disponível
para o Questionário de Quociente de Autismo (AQ), onde os resultados apontam
que 95% dos estudos esperam encontrar a idade média de diagnóstico entre 21 e 39
anos.</span></p></div></div>
