++++++ MENSAGEM DE DIVULGAÇÃO ++++++++

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to advertise the "School on Random Geometry and Random Matrices" to be held in São Paulo, Aug 25 - Sep 5 (www.ictp-saifr.org/random ). The event
will also be followed by a "Workshop on Random Geometry and Random Matrices" São Paulo, Sep 3 - 4 ( www.ictp-saifr.org/randomworkshop ). The registration is
already open.

We would also appreciate if you could circulate this advertisement among interested researchers and graduate students.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Bergfinnur Durhuus, Diego Trancanelli and Stefan Zohren

School on Random Geometry and Random Matrices

ICTP-SAIFR, São Paulo, Aug 25 - Sep 5 ( www.ictp-saifr.org/random )

Models of random geometry and random matrices have wide applications, ranging from quantum gravity and string theory to complex networks and biological
applications. In this interdisciplinary school, some of the world’s leading experts will give an overview of these diverse areas. The school is intended for
graduate students and researchers in the fields of high energy physics, statistical physics and probability theory, and will be followed by a short workshop.
There is no registration fee and limited funds are available for local and travel support of participants

Lecturers:

Jérémie Bouttier (Saclay) – Recent developments in random planar maps

Zdzislaw Burda (Krakow) – Products of random matrices and their applications

François David (Saclay) – Liouville theory, KPZ and SLE

Nadav Drukker (King’s College) – Matrix models and localization in supersymmetric gauge theories

Thordur Jonsson (Iceland) – Random tree ensembles and applications

Organizers:

Diego Trancanelli (USP), Stefan Zohren (PUC – Rio de Janeiro)

Workshop on Random Geometry and Random Matrices

ICTP-SAIFR, São Paulo, Sep 3 - 4 ( www.ictp-saifr.org/randomworkshop )
