| IBC Travel Awards for Members from Developing Countries

The Travel Awards Program, made available through the financial support of the International Biometric Society (IBS) Regions and individuals, provides assistance to members from developing countries to attend the International Biometric Conference (IBC). IBC2016 will be held in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada from 10 - 15 July 2016. 

In recent years, the awards program has become quite competitive. Recipients of the award receive money to cover a portion of conference registration fees, accommodations, airfare and/or meals. 

Eligibility Requirements
   
   - You must be a current member of IBS residing in a developing country. 
   - You must have submitted an abstract in response to the IBC2016 Call for Contributed Papers. 
   - You must not have received funding for IBC2012 of IBC2014.
How to Apply
Apply online at www.biometricsociety.org. The application is due 6 January 2016.

Review Criteria
All applications will be reviewed and evaluated using the following criteria:

1.     Length of IBS membership
2.     Participation in Society activities at group, regional and/or international level
3.     Academic and professional activity
4.     Availability of other funding
5.     Professional reference

Notification 
All applicants will receive an email notification by 16 February 2016 regarding the final status of their application.  |
