Assistant Professor position (tenure track) in the Department of Statistics,

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

The Department of Statistics of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid has one opening for Full-Time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, to teach courses in English and Spanish, starting September 1st, 2017. Potential candidates must have a Ph.D. and verifiable research experience in at least one of the following fields:

·       Probability & Statistics

·       Operations Research

The position is offered for a total of eight years, renewable every year in accordance with the Department´s promotional criteria available on the website. In total there are two evaluations. The first is at the beginning of the fourth year and the second at the beginning of the eighth year. If the final evaluation is positive, the Department of Statistics can consider opening a permanent position depending on the financial budget conditions of the Department. 

Estimated Salary: 32.600 euros (gross per year) divided into 14 payments.

Deadline for applications: February 28, 2017.
