[ABE-L] Postdoc fellowship in Statistics/Applied Math @ FGV (Rio de Janeiro)

The School of Applied Mathematics (EMAp) of the Getulio Vargas Foundation
(FGV), Rio de Janeiro, is opening two postdoctoral researcher positions in
Applied Mathematics for a two-year period with a monthly fellowship of BRL
10.000,00 (after taxes). The Department has research groups in Applied and
Computational Mathematics including Statistics, Optimization, Stochastic
Methods, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Optimal Control and
Epidemiological Modelling.
The positions are intended for applicants working on Applied and/or
Computational Mathematics, having research interests that intersect those
of the current faculty of the school.
Candidates must have completed their doctoral degree after March 31, 2014
or are about to complete it. A  PhD degree is required by the starting date
of the contract.
Applications should be sent to the email: posdoc.emap em fgv.br  until April
1th, 2019; including the following information:
- Research plan
- Publication list
- Curriculum vitae (containing, at least, birth date, institution and date
of doctoral degree, thesis title and advisor’s name)
- Three reference letters (free format)  (To be submitted directly by the
reference writers, to the email posdoc.emap em fgv.br until April 1th, 2019)
The postdoctoral researchers are expected to focus on scientific research,
but may also be required for a light teaching duty.
The selected candidates should start their activities at EMAp between
August 2019 and December 2019.
The decision will be announced on May 15th, 2019.
