maneira remota, com o tema "Obtaining Efficient Solutions for Port
Operations Problems". Informações sobre a palestra podem ser consultadas
abaixo.

*Seminário - Prof. Flávia Barbosa (Universidade do Porto)*
*Data*: Quarta-feira, 10 de abril · 2:00pm até 4:00pm (Fuso horário:
America/Recife)
*Título*: Obtaining Efficient Solutions for Port Operations Problems
*Resumo*: The search for logistics best-practices in international trade
has led to the appearance of the problems to optimize port operations. The
problem is usually computationally complex, leading to the use of
metaheuristics. This work develops a Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm for the
discrete and dynamic Berth Allocation Problem. A challenge of using Genetic
Algorithms is the identification of the best approach to model a specific
problem. Therefore, this work proposes the use of frontier techniques to
compare the performances of alternative specifications of the parameters
for the algorithm proposed and to identify efficient solutions.
