Our next seminar will be held on Monday, *August 17,* from *3:30 p.m. to
4:30 p.m.* (Rio de Janeiro local time). The meeting will take place at *room
C116 - Bloco C - CT – Instituto de Matemática – UFRJ*. There will be no
transmission online.

*Speaker:* Stella Brassesco (IVIC)

*Title:* Asymptotic counting of integer partitions through a probabilistic
model

*Abstract:* We introduce a probabilistic approach that is suitable to study
the asymptotics of some sequences. In particular,  we show examples where
 the asymptotic counting of integer partitions with different
restrictions or additional labels can be deduced from local limit theorems.

We also explore how this setup is related to that of random partitions.
