I’m sorry that I haven’t been in touch recently. Alan had a fall and injured his shoulder quite badly (while jack-hammering cement at our son’s place). He tore the tendon from the rotator cuff and needed an operation to reattach the tendon (by inserting four pins in the bone). He is currently recuperating after the operation (which was nearly three weeks ago), but has to wear a sling for at least six weeks. He is getting physiotherapy twice a week so as to regain movement in his shoulder. As you can imagine, Alan is very frustrated about this level of inactivity, particularly not being allowed to drive a car or really do anything physical. I have attached my CV and an abstract for a talk (for which an hour slot would be needed). I shall send the corresponding files for Alan this evening. Please let me know if they are suitable.
