The workshop atmosphere is friendly and supportive with a good deal of discussion within a single main session plus a poster session, rather than parallel sessions. Students The statistical modelling society has awarded 2 travel grants to students from outside Portugal to give a talk at IWSM. The Toyota Motor Corporation offers 3 student prizes, of $500 each, for best paper, best poster and best talk (visit our web page for further details).
