Selected candidates will be expected to contribute to teaching Statistics related courses, either in English or Spanish, as well as to the Department’s research lines. The expected start date is January 15, 2020. The teaching load is 144 hours per academic year, which roughly corresponds to six groups, each comprising 1.5 hours per week during a semester.UC3M adheres to the European Commission Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Selection will be based on an assessment of the applicants’ cv valuing especially research quality and fit to the Department. The Social Sciences Selection Committee, which will oversee the process, is composed of: Beatriz García Osma (President), Raquel Carrasco Perea (Secretary), Paloma Aguilar Fernández (member), Daniel Bruno Entrena Ruiz (member) and José Niño Mora (Statistics Department Head).Applicants should possess a PhD by the expected start date, as well as experience in any of the fields of the Department (Econometrics, Operations Research, Probability and Statistics).The contract is for one year, annually renewable up to three years.Annual gross salary: 24,000 euros (approx.).
