Dear colleague,

We would like to inform you about the forthcoming event: The First
Portuguese-Galician Meeting on Ecological and Environmental Statistics
(EES2014) that will take place from 6th till 8th of November 2014, at the
University of de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real-Portugal.

Contributions
Deadline for abstract submission		September 11, 2014 **NEW**
Acceptation of abstracts		September 23, 2014

The format of this meeting includes plenary talks, special sessions, parallel
sessions with contributed talks, and a short course on "Methods for estimating
animal abundance" given by Russell Alpizar Jara, University of Évora and Tiago
Marques, University of St. Andrews.

The meeting is organized by the Portuguese Statistical Society (SPE) and by
the Galician Society for the Advancement of Statistics and Operations Research
(SGAPEIO) and supported by Centre of Mathematics-Minho University  (CMAT),
Centre for Mathematics-UTAD, (CM-UTAD), Centre for the Research and Technology
of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB) and Center of Statistics
and Applications of University of Lisbon (CEAUL).
