 Call for papers:

The *IASC 2015 Satellite Conference
<http://www.ime.usp.br/%7Eabe/iasc2015/>* will take place in Búzios, Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil, from August 2 to August 4, 2015 (right after ISI 2015), in
the *Atlântico Búzios Convention & Resort
<http://www.atlanticobuzios.com.br/>*. The conference will be sponsored by
IASC and the Brazilian Statistical Association (ABE).

The event will be organized by the Department of Statistics of the Federal
Universtiy of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with support of the Department of
Computer Sciences of the University of São Paulo (USP).

The conference motto this year will be: Statistical Computing for Data
Science. The conference will be a forum for the discussion and exchange of
new ideas, concepts and recent methods regarding statistical computing for
information society and data science.

The call for abstracts closes the *31st of March 31, 2015*. Possible topics
include:

   - Analysis of Data Streams
    - Analysis of High-dimensional data
    - Big Data and Complex Data Analysis
    - Bioinformatics
    - Biostatistics and Clinical Trials
    - Classification and Clustering
    - Computer Intensive Methods in Statistical Analysis
    - Computational Finance
    - Computer Simulation
    - Oil and Gas Data Mining
    - Enviromental Statistics
    - Exploratory Data Analysis
    - Heavy Tails
    - Machine Learning
    - Multivariate Statistical Modeling and Data Analysis
    - Network Analysis
    - Robust Statistics
    - Statistical Quality Control and Process Control
    - Statistical Inference
    - Time Series Analysis

 The conference tradition is to have keynote lectures by prominent experts
in the area together with talks and/or poster sessions by young
researchers. The event usually has a round-table meeting dedicated to
specific topics. The schedule will provide free time for an informal
interaction. The keynote lectures will be held in the morning followed by
contributed talks later before lunch.

Búzios is one of the best Brazilian resorts, located in the Lakes Region of
Rio de Janeiro. The Peninsula de Buzios has a very rich mild climate, clear
waters and marine life, where all kinds of marine sport is practiced:
surfing, SUP, kite surfing, canoeing, diving, etc.
