Subject: Reminder: ISBA Travel Awards 2016

The International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) invites applications
to the following ISBA Travel Awards 2016, addressed to outstanding students
and young researchers who will be attending the ISBA 2016 World Meeting
(http://www.isba2016.org):

- Two ISBA New Researchers Travel Awards.

- Two ISBA Lifetime Members Junior Researcher Awards.

- Two Pilar Iglesias Travel Awards.

A detailed description of the Travel Awards and of the eligibility
requirements follows at the end of this communication.

Applications will be evaluated by the Program Council of ISBA together with
the Scientific Committee of the ISBA 2016 World Meeting.

The recipients will be announced in a dedicated Ceremony at the World
Meeting.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: October 10th, 2015

DECISIONS:

Decisions should be expected by November 1st, 2015

Please, note that ISBA has recently revised the policy for junior travel
support (http://tiny.cc/isbajunebulletin).  Announcements for standard junior
travel support will be forthcoming soon.

Applicants to a Travel Award will also be automatically considered in the
list of applicants for the standard junior travel support.

          **ISBA Travel Awards 2016**

ISBA New Researchers Travel Awards.

The purpose of the new ISBA New Researchers Travel Award is to support
participation in ISBA Meetings by junior researchers. The ISBA New
Researchers Travel Award is open to any junior researcher. A junior
researcher is a graduate student in a current degree program or someone who
has received a PhD or equivalent in the last 5 years. Recipients of the ISBA
New Researchers Travel Award are selected on a competitive basis.

Two ISBA New Researchers Travel Awards for 2016 are restricted to junior
researchers participating to the World Meeting.

ISBA Lifetime Members Junior Researcher Awards.

ISBA Lifetime Members Junior Researcher Award is intended to recognize junior
researchers, attending a World Meeting, who gave significant contributions in
the early stage of their career.  The Awards are partially funded by the
contributions of ISBA Lifetime Members.

Pilar Iglesias Travel Awards

The Pilar Iglesias Travel Award provides travel grants for one or two
graduate students or young researchers from a developing nation so that they
can participate to an ISBA World Meeting.

  **ELIGIBILITY requirements:**

  The applicant should be a student or a junior researcher qualifying for the
Travel Award according to the guidelines above. More specifically, for the
purpose of this application, student and junior researcher will be
considered:

-  All Ph.D. students expecting to graduate by June 2016

- Researchers who received their Ph.D. after July 2010.

In addition, it is required that:

- One Letter of recommendation outlining the contributions of the applicant
for the Award

- The applicant commits to the presentation of a talk or a poster at the ISBA
2016 World Meeting.

  Please, note that the submission of a preliminary abstract  is required as
part of the application process.
