Estamos inciando nosso terceiro ano em seminários em High Dimensional Data
Analyisis.

Título: Kernels and Spherical Basis Functions (SBF)
(Ronaldo Dias)

It's well know that SBFs are useful in applications towards Geostatistics,
Geosciences, Precision Medicine, FDA on the sphere (all high dimensional
problems). Also, SBFs can be good competitors to spherical wavelets,
spherical splines, geodesic splines, particularly for Medical images
analysis and classification, functional regression models on the sphere.
