Dear all,

this post is to announce a new interdisciplinary seminar series at the
intersection of Statistics, Epidemiology and Geography, presented over
Zoom, that will take place starting from March 10, 2021.
The seminar series, centered around the topics of spatial statistics,
spatial epidemiology, and geographical aspects of public health, is
organized by the GEOMED XII scientific committee and has the goal to
continue the scientific discourse over these topics in preparation for the
12th edition of GEOMED that will take place - hopefully, in person - in
August 2022 at the University of California, Irvine.

Talks will be held every 2 weeks over Zoom. The first speaker, on *March 10*
is *Andrew Lawson*, Professor of Biostatistics in the Division of
Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the Medical University of South
Carolina (MUSC).
