Caros
soube hoje que Caio Gonçalves, aluno de doutorado da ENCE, também foi um
dos premiados na *Student competition in association with the Conference in
Honour of Fred Smith & Chris Skinner .*

O trabalho  *Model‐based unemployment rate estimates for the Brazilian
Labour Force Survey  *foi realizado em parceria com Luna Hidalgo (IBGE)
sob minha supervisão e de Jan van den Brakel (Maastrich University  and
Statistics Netherlands).

A programação completa do evento, que ocorrerá  de 7 a 9 de julho como
evento satélite do WSC2021 , estará disponível em breve.

University of Southampton will host a conference in memory of Fred (TMF)
Smith and Chris Skinner, who both passed away during winter 2019/20. The
conference is based around the themes that interested Fred and Chris during
their research careers, including (but not limited to)

   - analysis and modelling of complex survey data
   - time series methods in the analysis of survey data
   - statistical disclosure control
   - official statistics

Registration:
Since the cost of an on-line conference is small, there will be no
registration fee, but all attendees (including accepted presenters) must
register
