[ABE-L] Excellence in Statistical Science/60th Anniversary of UConn Statistics

Caro Victor Hugo e demais colegas

Gostaria de começar a mensagem parabenizando o depto de Estatística da
UConn e pedindo ao Victor para que repasse meus parabéns a seus colegas.

Esse depto tem uma importante contribuição na história da Estatística
(Bayesiana). Visitei esse depto algumas décadas atrás, onde fui muito bem
recebido, e tive a oportunidade de vivenciar esse produtivo ambiente
científico.

Aproveito a oportunidade para informar a essa lista de outro aniversário. O
depto de Estatística da Universidade de Warwick também está comemorando
seus 50 anos de existência neste mês.  A comemoração terá uma série de
eventos, começando com uma conferência que terá início amanhã 07 de
setembro e irá até 09 de setembro.
