Title: Classification and the ROC Curve

Abstract: Classification is one of the main methods in Statistical Learning
(SL) (or Machine Learning (ML)). In this talk I will introduce some of
these methods, as the classical ones (logistic regression, Bayes, KNN,
Fisher) and some more contemporary ones (SVM, trees and forests, neural
networks), but concentrate on the the ROC curve, which is a tool to find
the accuracy of tests used in problems of classification in SL (ML).
