[ABE-L] Fwd: UMALCA’s Statement on Representation and Recognition in the MCA

Olá a todos,

Obrigada Dóris por compartilhar conosco. Concordo com a Eulália, sinto algo
similar sobre outras associações como ASA e IMS, ISI um pouco menos. É
importante estarmos atentos às oportunidades e buscarmos participar
individualmente. Além disso, iniciativas como esta da UMALCA são muito
importantes. A América Latina em geral tem bem menos disponibilidade de
recursos que países desenvolvidos, se não houver pesquisadores convidados
como plenaristas é mais difícil conseguirmos ter representatividade nesses
espaços.
É uma via de mão dupla, precisamos ter candidatos e também precisamos que
as diretorias das associações tenham esse cuidado de equilibrar a
representatividade.
