This is the second announcement for the XVII Latin American Congress of
Probability and  Mathematical Statistics (CLAPEM) that will take place from
March 2-6, 2026 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

XVII CLAPEM
March 2–6, 2026 – Montevideo, Uruguay

The Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
(CLAPEM), promoted by the Latin American Society of Probability and
Mathematical Statistics (SLAPEM) and the regional chapter of the Bernoulli
Society, is the most important event in these fields in the region. Since
its inception, it has been a cornerstone in the development and promotion
of probability and mathematical statistics in Latin America.

The call for the Aranda-Ordaz prize

thematic sessions, contributed talks, and posters is currently open.

The organization has a limited amount of funding available to support
participation in the congress, with priority given to applicants from the
region and to those at early stages of their academic careers.

FRANCISCO ARANDA-ORDAZ PRIZE

Sponsored by the Bernoulli Society, the Francisco Aranda-Ordaz Award is
granted to one doctoral thesis in Probability and one in Statistics,
written by students from a Latin American institution or from a joint
program with a Latin American institution. Theses defended between March
2023 and September 2025 are eligible for this edition of the Award.
