Caros redistas,

Peço a gentileza de divulgar junto a possíveis interessados a chamada para
submeter trabalhos para concorrer ao Prêmio Cochran-Hansen, oferecido
pela International Association of Survey Statisticians (IASS), uma das sete
associações do ISI.

O prazo limite para submissões é 15 de fevereiro de 2017, e o autor do
trabalho vencedor terá suas despesas pagas para ir apresentar o trabalho no
congresso do ISI em Marrakech, em julho de 2017, mais livros e periódicos
no valor de 500 Euros.

Alguns brasileiros já venceram este prêmio, então somos competitivos...

Dear IASS colleagues,



In celebration of its 25th anniversary in 1999, the International
Association of Survey Statisticians (IASS) established the Cochran-Hansen
Prize. The Prize is awarded every two years for the best paper on survey
research methods submitted by a young statistician from a developing or
transition country.



The 2017 Cochran-Hansen Prize committee is now accepting submissions for
the 2017 C-H Prize. The attached announcement describes the prize in more
detail, including the eligibility rules, requirements for the paper and
information on how to submit a paper for consideration in the competition.



If you are a young, early career statistician, I strongly encourage you to
consider applying for this prestigious award.  For those of us who are more
advanced in age and in our careers, please consider promoting the prize
competition among junior colleagues in your department or agency.  I join
the review committee in anticipating the submission of many excellent
papers and a strong competition for the 2017 Cochran-Hansen Prize.
